Electro-doormats

As a measure to prevent bears from entering human structures or homes, electro-doormats have been used abroad effectively for many years. In Slovenia, we do not face the problem of bears entering the homes, so we want to test this prevention measure on the human property. The prevention measure is appropriate for the protection of beehives against damage caused by brown bears. It represents a quick and easy solution, especially for the mobile beehives. Since it contains an electric current and causes severe pain, as well as other electrified measures, the electric-doormat represents a psychological barrier for the brown bear. The effectiveness of the measure will be tested within the LIFE DINALP BEAR project. Follow us!
