The tree protective collars are used to prevent fruit trees from damages caused by the brown bear. The metal ring around the tree trunk prevents climbing and thus presents a physical barrier to the brown bear. Its height should be at least 1 m. The lower edge of the collar must be located at a height of at least 1,5 m from the ground. The feasibility of the installation depends on the features of the tree, especially the branch architecture. The measure is suitable for higher fruit trees.
